The Election of a Surveyor for the Parishes
of Saint John Wapping Saint Ann Limehouse the
Precinct of Saint Catherines , The Hamlets of Radcliffe
Mile End Old Town and Poplar and Blackwall in
this County in the stead of Mr.. John Powsey< no role > deceased
coming on this Day pursuant to the Order of the last
Session and George Edwards< no role > , William Jupp< no role > , Matthew
Wharton, Benjamin Cooper< no role > , James Bull< no role > and George
Goldring appearing and having offered, themselves
as Candidates to succeed to that Office the Court
proceeded to a Ballot and the Ballot being Closed
it appeared that 106. of His Majesty< no role > 's Justice of
the peace for this County had ballotted and that
58. had ballotted for the said William Jupp< no role > 27.
for Matthew Wharton< no role > 13. for George Goldring. 7.
for George Edwards< no role > and One for James Bull< no role >
Whereupon the said William Jupp< no role > was declared
duly Elected and being Called in and informed
by the Chairman of his Election he took the
Oath required by the Act of Parliament for the
due and faithful Execution of his Office.

Resolved Unanimously That the
Surveyors of the several Districts within this
County appointed in pursuance of the Act of
Parliament of the 14th of his present Majesty
Do reside within the respective Districts to which
they have been or shall hereafter be Appointed
and that this Order do stand for confirmation
on the County Day of the next General Quarter
Session of the peace for this County.
