April 1799.

Ordered That Mr.. Wood Mr.. Ray Mr.. Henderson
and Mr.. Soane be requested to procure an Estimate of the
Expence of putting the said Bridge in sufficient Repair
and that the same be repaired immediately under their
Inspection if such Estimate do not exceed £60. the
Bridge being Reported to be in a Dangerous State of
Decay.

By adjournment same Day.

The following Memorials of Samuel Bridgeman< no role >
and Daniel Springthorpe< no role > being laid before the Court
and Read Vizt..

"To His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace Acting for the
"County of Middlesex .

"Gentlemen

"Finding that a late Act of Parliament
"Authorises the Magistrate to allow the Constable a
"Compensation for Collecting the County Rate I beg leave
"to submit to Your Worships the Distances of the Parishes
"in Finsbury Division being a Round of not less
"than Twenty two Miles and I always go personally
"to serve the Notices for each Rate and call on the
"several Officers of each Parish some three and some
"four times for the Money.

"I humbly beg Your Worships will take the same
"into Consideration and Allow me what shall appear
'to you most just
