January 1799.

supplying by contract such sort of Butchers Meat as may in
future be wanted for the use of the Prisoners in the House of
Correction they Resolved That the Pieces of Beef to be
received for the use of the Prisoners in he House of Correction
should be Clods Stickings and Mouse Bulloks free
from bone that the Meat should be Ordered by the Governor
at the Rate of half a pound before Dressing for each
Prisoner receiving the County allowance and delivered
in the Prison at such time and in such Quantities
as shall be directed by him and that all Orders given
to the Butcher for the delivery of Meat should be in
Writing specifying the Quantity and signed by the Governor

That the Contract should be for One Year and that
the Butchers Bill should be paid every General Quarter
Session of the peace and Your Committee directed the
following Advertizement to be Inserted in the Morning
Herald and Morring Advertizer Vizt.

"To Butchers"

"His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for the County
"of Middlesex Do hereby give Notice that they will meet at
"the Session House upon Clerkenwell Green on Thursday the
"10th. day of January Instant at One Clock precisely, To
"receive Proposals from such Person or Persons as are
"willing to serve the Prisoners in the House of Correction
"for the said County with Butchers Meat for One Year

"Particulars of the Contract may be seen and
"other Information had at the Office of the Clerk of the
"peace for this County in the Session House aforesaid
"any Day between the hours of Ten and Three - Good
"Security will be required for the due performance of
"the Contract
