at the Prison expostulated with them when they returned to

to be Kingleaders of the Riot were Ordered by Mr. Graham
to be strongly Jren'd and closely confined, the Governor
finding others Vizt. John Lever< no role > , Michael Tanner< no role > , Thomas
Hanwick

equally as bad has secured them in the same manner
Thomas Hardwick< no role > , being locked up by one of the Turnkey's
declared to him that they might keep him on Bread and
Water but he would be Dam'd if he would not kill some
Body and they might hang him out of the way. Saturday
September 10th. The Governor on going round the Prison
between Eleven and Twelve in the forenoon heard a very great
noise in the Room where the Men Work during the time
that their respective Cells are cleaning out on going into the
Room and questioning them as to the impropriety of their Conduct
and finding Richard Pyman< no role > , William Grindall< no role > and Stephen
Baun
< no role > very rude and Disorderly the Governor ordered them to be
secured in the same way the others had been on Friday and upon
interrogating one Joseph Small< no role > and finding that one William
Coleman
< no role > was at the head of the intended mischief ordered him to
be Irone'd and Secured in the same way.
