"The Magistrates present having taken the said Order of Referrence
"and also the said Petition into consideration.

"A Motion was made and Seconded, That Samuel Bridgman< no role > Gent
"High Constable of Finsbury Division be nominated as a fit person to the
"next General Quarter Session of the Peace to serve the Office of High Constable
"for the said division for Three years next ensuing and upon the Question
"being put there appeared to be Three Magistrates for and two against it
"and the said Samuel Bridgman< no role > is recommended to the said Sessions
"accordingly.

"John Brettell< no role > , Chairman".

Whereupon it was Moved and Seconded that Mr Samuel Bridgman< no role >
be appointed High Constable for Finsbury Division.

Resolved that the Said Samuel Bridgman< no role > be and he is hereby
appointed High Constable for the said Division.

By Adjournment same day.

The Court having been informed that the North Abutment of
Chertsey Bridge was very much damaged by the late Floods and that
the Pier was in danger. Resolved that Mr Rogers do go down to
Chertsey to see the state and condition of the same and report his Opinion
thereon to the Court.

By Adjournment same day.

The Estimate made by Mr Rogers of the Expence of altering the
House occupied by the Labourer in Trust into a Residence for the Governor
of the New House of Correction being taken into consideration. Resolved
that the Plan of the said Alteration be adopted and that the same be
forthwith executed agreeable to the said Estimate.
