By Adjournment Same day

It having been Stated to the Court by Mr Joseph Burchell< no role > Treasurer
for the said County that Joseph Stocken< no role > Collector of the Tolls of St James's Haymarket
had not paid into his Hands the Monies collected by him for the said Tolls
according to his undertaking at the time of his last election and it being stated
to the Court that the said Joseph Stockens Sureties had declined becoming bound
for him It is Ordered by the Court that the said Joseph Stocken< no role > do forthwith
pay to the said Joseph Burchell< no role > all monies due from him to the said County up
to the 29th. day of September last and that the said Joseph Stocken< no role > do also
procure two Sureties to become bound with him for the due and regular payment
of the monies to be received by him on Account of the said Tolls from the time to
come pursuant to the Terms of the Agreement entered into by him at the time of
his Election otherwise he will be discharged from his said Office.

The following Report from the Committee appointed to examine and
audit from time to time the Account or Accounts of the Treasurer of this County as
well with respect to his Receipts as his Expenditures and also to examine and
audit all demands of what nature or kind soever made on this County previous
to the payment thereof being laid before the Court Vizt.

To His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex in their
General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said County in the Month
of October 1788 Assembled.

The Report of the Committee appointed to
Examine and Audit from time to time the Account or
Accounts of the Treasurer of this County as well with
respect to his Receipts as his Expenditures and also to
Examine and audit all demands of what nature or
kind soever made on this County previous to the payment
thereof.
