Middlesex

At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Lord the King
holden in and for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street (by adjournment) on Thursday the 11th. day of April in the Twenty
second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of
Great Britain Etc.

In what form the
Treasurer shall Keep
his accounts & referrence
to the Prison Commee to
give directions therein}

It is Ordered that from henceforth the Treasurer of this County do draw out
his Accounts by way of Debtor and Creditor classed under distinct Heads
And it is further ordered that it be and it is hereby referred to the Committee
appointed to carry into immediate and effectual Execution the repair of
New Prison and Clerkenwell Bridewell to consider what may be the
best form of stating such Accounts and to give such Direction to the
Treasurer on that Head as to them shall seem meet.

Reference to the Prison
Committee to form a Warrt.
for the Commitment of
Offenders}

Ordered that it be and it is hereby referred to the Committee appointed
to carry into immediate and effectual execution the repair of New Prison
and Clerkenwell Bridewell to consider of and form a proper Warrant
to be recommended to the use of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
this County for the Commitment of Offenders to the Prisons and Houses
of Correction within this County, in which Warrant shall be Inserted
Charge to the Constable in whose Custody the Offenders may be to convey
the Prisoner to Prison and to the Keeper to receive the Prisoner and
that the said Committee do report their proceedings herein at the next
Session of the Peace to be holden in and for this County.

Appointment of a
Committee to consider
the Laws respecting
Gaming and Gaming
Houses}

As the pernicious practice of Gaming with E.O. Tables and other
Games and Devices has become so notorious and invitations by Carts
and other outful means are daily and hourly held out to reduce the
youthful and unwary Resolved that a Committee be appointed
"to consider the Laws respecting Gaming and Gaming Houses to
"point out their defects and what shall appear to them an adequate
"and speedy remedy." and the said Committee are hereby empowered to
