had unanimously approved of the Proposal delivered in by Mr.
John Mist< no role > which proposal bears date 12th. February then Inst.
in which he proposed to pave the Haymarket and keep the Same
in repair for 21 Years from thence next Ensuing for the annual
Sum of £70. payable Quarterly and for neglect of repairation on
notice thereof to allow the expence of doing the same to be deducted
That as to the matters left undetermined and referred back by the Court
on the last Report The Committee saw no reason to alter their
Opinion and as to the number of Justices forming the standing
Committee it was left again to the Court that as the allowance to
be made to Mr. Mist of £70. P Ann. and charge of collecting the
Toll would not exceed £90. and the Toll at the least producing £100
P Ann. there would be an Annual Surplus of £10. the Committee
thought it proper tho not referred to them to ask Mr. Mist on what
Terms in case his proposal should be approved by the Court he would
undertake immediately to discharge the Debt of £111..4..11 who
made a second proposal which was approved of by the Committee
that for Ten pounds per Annum for the whole term of Twenty
One Years to be added to the Seventy pounds P Ann. to commence
at Easter day 1730 he would discharge the debt of £111..4..11 that
was due on the Toll at Christmas 1729 the produce of the current
Quarter (after several charges deducted) being also paid to the
said John Mist< no role > that Mist was ready to enter on his contract
and give Security for the performance of it And that the
Committee had since the proposal had been made, removed the Toll
posts at the upper End of the Haymarket about 35 Feet higher
than at first it was placed and that the paving the Addition thereby
made deserved Four pounds per Annum above the Seventy
Whereby such part of the said Report as regarded the removal
of the Posts Etc and Mists proposals was confirmed, a contract ordered to
be drawn accordingly and that after Executing the said Contract
