Upon reading the Petition of
John Cradock< no role >
Gent
. High
Constable
within the Hundred of Edmonton setting forth that
he hath served the said office almost three Years with the
greatest care and diligence according to his Instructions and
abilities but by the death of a Relation in London is now
become an Inhabitant there and not resident at Enfield
and
therefore praying to be discharged from his said office and this
court being satisfied in the Premises Doth appoint James
Clarke of the parish of Enfield
aforesaid Gentleman
to be high
Constable
within the said Hundred in the stead and place of
the said
John Cradock< no role >
and doth Order that the said James
Clarke on Notice hereof Do appear in this Court at the
adjournment of this present Session on Friday the thirtieth instant
by twelve of the Clock at Noon to take his oath for the due
Execution of the said Office or in default thereof repair to one
of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for this County residing
in the said Hundred and take his said oath without further
delay And that from and after the said Mr.Clarke's taking
the said Oath the said Mr. Cradock is to stand absolutely
discharged from his said Office
