By adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757 .

It appearing unto this Court that William Piper< no role > Gent late one of the
High Constables of the Hundred of Elthorne in this County is dead and that he
had in his Hands at the time of his death several Sums of money belonging to
this County which had been by him received within the said Hundred by virtue
of the Act of Parliament for the more easy assessing collecting and levying of
County Rates It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer
of this County do forthwith make up and settle the Account of what moneys
were received by the said William Piper< no role > upon that Account with the
Representative of the said William Piper< no role > and receive such money from
such Representative and place the same to the Credit of the publick
Stock of moneys of this County.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757.

Trearer to pay 6.5.0
to Mrs. Ann Rayner< no role >
Plumber for Work
done at Hicks Hall

A Bill of Mrs. Ann Rayner< no role > Plumber for Work done at Hicks Hall in this
County amounting to the Sum of Six pounds and five shillings being produced
before this Court and it appearing that the same hath been examined by George
Errington and Bartholomew Hammond Esqrs . two of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the said County and that there is due to the said Ann Rayner< no role >
for the same the said Sum of Six pounds and five shillings It is Ordered by
this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay unto the said Ann
Rayner the said Sum of Six pounds and five shillings in full of her said demand
whose Receipt together with this Order shall be a sufficient Discharge to the
said Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757.

Order for Mr. Higgs Trearer
to pay £2.4s.0d to Mr. John
White

A Bill of Thomas Harper< no role > Carpenter for Work done at Hicks Hall in St. John
Street in the County being produced before this Court by Mr. John White< no role > House
Keeper at Hicks Hall aforesaid amounting to the Sum of two pounds and four
shillings and it appearing unto this Court that the said Bill hath been examined
by George Errington< no role > and Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the said County and that the same is just and right and
it also appearing unto this Court that the said Mr. White hath paid the said
Sum of two pounds and four shillings unto the said Thomas Harper< no role > in full
of his said Bill It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of
this County do pay the said Sum of two pounds and four shillings unto the
said Mrs. White whose Receipt together with this Order shall be a
sufficient Discharge to the said Treasurer for such payment
