At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign
Lord the King begun and holden for the County of Middx at the Town
Court house near Westmr. Hall in the County aforesaid on Monday in
the Week next after the Close of Easter the third day of April in the
twenty Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Second King of Great Britain & before Thomas Lune Luke

Keep the Peace
in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the
Same County and From thence continued by Several adjournments
until this day (to wit) Thursday the Sixth day of the Same Month
of April in the Year aforesaid and on the Same day holden by
Adjournment at Hicks Hall in St. John Street
aforesaid in and
for the Same County before the Justices above named and others
their Fellows aforesaid.
Order for raising Money
for the Purposes mentioned
in an Act Parliament for
the more easy assessing
Collecting and levying
of County Rates.}
Whereas by virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the
twelfth Year of the Reign of his present Majesty King George the
Second Intituled an Act for the more easy assessing collecting and
Levying of County Rates the Justices of the peace
in that part of
Great Britain called England
within the respective limits of
their Commissions at their General or Quarter Sessions or the
greater part of them then and there assembled have full power
& authority from time to time to make one General Rate or
assessment for such sum or sums of Money as the Justices in
their Discretions should think Sufficient to answer all and every
the ends and purposes mentioned in the said Act Now
for as much as it appeareth unto this Court that three fourth
of the Money of the last Rate made in February Session 1747
being the last proceeding Rate hath been paid & Expended
to answer the ends and purpose mentioned in the said Act
of Parliament And that it is necessary that a considerably
Sum of Money Should be raised and a Rate made upon
the Towns Parishes & places in the said County for raising
of Money to answer the Several ends and purposes
mentioned in the said Act of parliament This Court
upon Consideration of the Premisses is of
