By adjornment on Wednesday the twenty Sixth
day of February 1745 .

Order to oblige Suitors
of the Court to appear
early in a Morning for
trial of Traverses.}

Whereas the Tryals of Traverses upon Indictments
depending in this Court have been much delayed by reason
that the Defendants and also the Prosecutors of Such
Indictments do not appear at the first Sitting of the Court
in order to have such Indictments tryed for want of
whose Appearance the Court cannot proceed to the tryal
of the Said indictments, which is a great hindrance to the
dispatching the Business of the Sessions, For the
Prevention of Such Inconveniences for the future
It is Ordered that if the Defendants do not appear
at the first sitting of the Court to try their Traverses
upon such Indictments that their Recognizances Shall
be estreated and that the Same Shall not be respited
without payment of Costs to the Prosecutor, and in Case
the Prosecutors Shall not appear at the first sitting of
the Court in order to give Evidence upon such Indictments,
that then the Defendants upon proving Notice of Tryal
may be acquitted of the Offences therein charged against
them.

By adjornment on Thursday 27th. day of February 1745.

Esqr . Chariman of the
Court.}

It is Ordered that the Thanks of this Court be and they are
hereby given unto Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . Chairman of this
Court for his good and landable Services done to this County of
Middx in the Publick Administration of Justices, And this
Court doth elect and Continue the said Mr. Lane to be
Chairman of the General Quarter and General Sessions of
the Peace to be holden for the said County between Lady day
1746 and Michas then next ensuing.
