Mainwaring and John Lawton< no role > Esquires Justices of the Peace
of the County of Middx or any three or more of them as a
Committee to assemble and meet together at Hicks Hall
on Tuesday the Seventh day of May next at ten of the Clock
in the Forenoon and at Such other times as they Shall in this
behalf appoint to inspect the Bills of the Several Workmen
on account of the New Building or repairing [..] Middx part
of Chertsea Bridge , And to consider if the Prices therein
charged are reasonable and Such as ought to be allowed, and
to State what Sum of Money is remaining due to each
Workman. And also to consider of any other Matter which
may be Material in relation to the aforesaid part of the Said
Bridge. And in regard Mr. Samuel Bond< no role > the Survey or of the
Work done in and about the New building the Middx part of the
Said Bridge hath been greatly in disburse concerning the Same
and on account of Timber by him bought and provided for the
Same, This Court doth referr it to the Said Committee to make
him a proper Allowance in respect of the Moneys by him advanced
and for his Pains and Trouble in and about the Premisses, And
the Said Committee or any three of them are hereby empowered
to direct the Treasurer to pay Such Bills as they Shall think
fit to be paid on account of the Said Bridge, and also two thirds
of the Said Allowance to be made to the Said Mr. Bond And
also to pay to Mr. Thos. Wilkinson< no role > Gent Deputy to the Clerk of
the Peace the Moneys mentioned in his Account of Disbursements
for printing Several publick Orders of Sessions for Suppressing
Tottenham Court Fair The Welch Fair, and Mile End Fair ,
and also concerning other publick Affaires relating to this
County, the Said Account Standing referred by an Order of this
Court to the inspection and consideration of the Said Committee,
And the Said Committee are desired to make their Report
touching the aforesaid Matters to the Court of General or
Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the Said County, And Notice
of the time and place of the meeting of the Said Committee is to
be given to all the Justices of the Peace abovenamed.
