By adjornment on Thursday the Sixth Day of December
1744 .

Order for providing an
Iron Back for the
Kitchen Chimney of
Hicks Hall.}

It is Ordered by this Court that a good Strong Iron Back
be had and provided for the Kitchen, Chimney of the Sessions
House called Hicks Hall in St. John Street in this County
And that an Account of the Expence thereof as also of the
Bricklayers work about placeing and fixing the Said Iron
Back be laid before his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the
Said County to be assembled in Sessions to the end they may
give direction for payment of the Money which Shall be due for
the Same.

By adjornment on Thursday the Sixth Day of December 1744.

Whereas Edward Ford< no role > of Chertsey in the County of Surry
hath exhibited his humble Petition unto this Court Setting forth
That the Petitioner reced an Order dated the fourteenth Day
of April one thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six from Sir
Thomas Reynell< no role > Bart . and Robert Hinde< no role > Esqr . two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx for the laying
of Gravel and doing the other necessary Repairs that were wanting
to that part of Chertsey Bridge that belongeth to the Said County of
Middx, And that the Petr. accordingly employed Teams and
Several Men in fetching and Spreading of Gravel which the
Petr. paid for, and also paid Several Workmens Bills, as by the
Vouchers doth appear, And that the Petr. hath applyed
Several times to Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer for the County of
Middx for payment of the Said Bills, but could not receive them
by reason that the Said Mr. John Higgs< no role > had no Order of Court for the
Same, And the Petr. therefore humbly prayed that this Court
would be pleased to Order Mr. John Higgs< no role > to pay him his Said Bills,
Whereupon It is thought fit and ordered by this Court that it
be And It is hereby recommended and referred unto Robert
Hucks Esquire Chairman of this Committee Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr. The
Right Honoble Henry Lord Colerane of the Kingdom of Ireland
