Order for altering
the times of holding

Sessions 1744.}
It is Ordered by this Court that the time of holding the
next General Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of
Middx (which was intended to begin on Thursday the fourth
Day of October next)be altered, And that the Same Sessions
of the Peace do begin and be holden at Westminster hall
on
Thursday the eleventh day of October aforesaid and at Hicks
Hall by adjornment on Friday the twelfth day of the Same
Month of October and So from day to day there until the
Business of the Said Sessions be finished, the time of holding
the next Sessions of Gaol Delivery at the Old Baily
being altered,
the Same being to begin there on Wednesday the Seventeenth
day of October next and not on the tenth as was formerly
intended, And let this Order be printed in one of the publick
News Papers for the better Notification thereof.

Order for inspecting
Bills of Workmen
concerning Repairs
done at Hicks Hall
Etc.}
Whereas upon Information given unto the Court of
General Session of the Peace holden for the County of Middx
in February 1743 that Some Repairs & necessary Matters
were wanting to be done to the Sessions House called Hicks
Hall in St. John Street
in the Said County, and that it
was proper that the Same Should be done there unto, I was
by an Order made thereupon at the Same Session referred unto
his Majestys Justices of the Peace
therein named or any three or
more of them as a Committee to take a view of Hicks Hall
, And
to direct Such Repairs & Matters to be done thereto as they
Should find and adjudge necessary & convenient for the better
accommodation of the Justices of the Peace
of the Said County,
Now upon produceing of Several Bills by Tradesmen &
Workmen for Matters by them provided and Work by them done
at the Said Sessions House by Direction of the Said Committee,
and praying to be paid the Moneys due to them thereupon,
