of the Sessions wherein It is mentioned That the
frequent obstruction the Trustees meet with from
Several parishes within the limits of the Islington
Turnpike to prevent the Acts for repairing the Roads
being put in execution occasioned the Said Letter to
request the Said Chairman and the rest of the Justices
in Sessions to appoint a Committee to Enquire how
the Powers of the Said Acts have been executed in
relation to the Statute worke, what Statute work
the parishes are lyable to do on the Said Roads, and
what they did before the comencement. of the Said
Acts, and what Since, And the Said Committee to
report the Same to the Sessions, And that by this the
Sessions will have a true State of what every parish
ought to do when application is made by the Trustees
for proportioning the Statute work of any parish
when they will not compound, And that the
Gentlemen whose names are Subscribed to the Said
Letter apprehend by the Acts of Parliament the Sessions
have full power to inquire into examine, heare and
finally to determine all matters in relation to the
Statute work or any other delegated powers, And that
the Trustees are desirous to discharge the Trust reposed
in them as far as is in their power, And that in Order
to facilitate this affaire they have appointed a
Committee to attend Such Committee of Justices as
the Sessions Shall be pleased to appoint, that the
Trustees may give them all possible light &
