Order for allowing
a further Pention
of £1. per Annum
to William Leeson< no role >
a County Pentioner

Upon Application made unto this Court by William
Leeson alledgeing that his Leg being Shott off in
the Service of her late Majesty Queen Ann the
Court of Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace
holden for this County in July 1716 Did upon his
Petition and on proper Certificates by him in that
behalfe produced admitt him as a Disabled
Mariner and Petitioner of this County and Ordered
that he should be allowed and paid by the Treasurer
for Maimed Soldiers and Mariners for the Hundreds
of Ossulston Edmonton and Gore in this County the
Pention of Three Pounds per Annum by Quarterly
payments for and towards his better support and
Maintenance, And the said William Leeson< no role > haveing
preferred his Petition unto this Court at this present
Sessions setting forth that by Sickness haveing a Wife
and Children and an ancient Mother all being under
his care, and by reason the Hamstrings of his Stump
Leg being cutt out which renders him Uncapable
of Walking the fourth part soe well as other
Men who have had a good amputation, he is putt to
great Streights, And he therefore prayed an
Augmentation of his Pention towards the better
Support of himselfe and his Family, This Court
being Satisfyed of the truth of the Premisses Doth
Order that (over and above the said Pention of three
pounds per Annum formerly Granted) the said William
Leeson be allowed and paid by the Treasurer for
Maimed Soldiers and Mariners for the said Hundreds
of Ossulston Edmonton and Gore the further Pention of
One Pound per Annum by, Quarterly Payments to
comence from Michaelmas day last past for and towards
his better support and Maintenance, untill further
