The ConfessionandExamination and Information of James Lang< no role > of George Yard
in the Parish of St. George Southwark in the County of
Surrey Mariner

Who being duly sworn confesseth and saith that he in Company
with one George Beck< no role > and a Man who is called Carrotty Bob< no role > at about
twelve o'Clock in the night of Wednesday the eleventh Day of November
instant feloniously stole took and carryed away out of a Barge
which (he now find's belonged to a Mr. Drew a Wharf [..] at the
Old Swan Stair London ,) but which was them [..] a drift near
the three Crane Stairs London , eight large Pig's of Lead which they
Sold to one Payne a Dealer in old Proper & Iron near Fountain Stairs
Bermondsey , [..] the same
Night, for four Guineas, that this Informant , George Beck< no role > and the
Said Carrotty Bob then went to a Mrs. King's in Dark house Lane
[..] two Pots of Court together staid there about two Hours &
[..] he this Informant came away & left the other two
behind him, that they all three must to gether the next duly at
the Sign of the Sun in St. Katherine Lane by the Tower , & from
thence to a Public Hance he believes the sign of Admiral Haw [..]
in Salisbury Street Bermondsey where Mr. Payne paid them, that
in their way [..] at an Alehouse by a Turnpike near Salisbury
Street they all three called in and got change for a Guinea
& this Examinant further saith that in the Night aforesaid
he by himself stole ten Pigs of Lead out of the Barge
aforesaid which he sold six to the said Mr Payne three to
one Needham who lives next door to him and one the said
George Beck< no role > & Carrotty Bob disposed of as this Examinant
believes to the said Needham. And lastly this Examinant
