maketh Oath and saith that he well recollects
receiving a Summons which had been left at his House in Bread
Street
aforesaid directed to "William Anisley< no role >
" Merchant
Bread thee
"Ward" Ordering him to attend the Session of Oyer and Terminer
and Goal Delivery held for the City of London
at Justice Hall
in
the Old Bailey
in the Month of December hot as a Juror for an
Lord the King but this Deponent
not knowing that such Summons
was meant or intended for him andthat it might be
for some person in the said Ward named "William Anisley< no role >
" and
left at this Deponent
's House by mistake he did not conceive it
necessary or incumbent on him to attend the said Session and
therefore did not obey the said Summons
And this Deponent
further Saith that a few days ago
he received the Letter hereunto annexed also directed to "William
"Anisley Merchant
Bread Street
Ward" whereas this Deponent
's name
is "John Ans-ley< no role >
