At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the City of London at the Guildhall within
the said City on Tuesday the Eighth day of January in the
Twenty eighth Year of the Reign of our [..] Sovereign Lord
George the third King of Great Britain Etc Before John Burnell< no role >
Esquire Mayor of the City of London Brass Crosby< no role > Esquire
Richard Clark< no role > Esquire Aldermen of the said City James Adair< no role >
one of his Majestys Serjeant at Law Recorder of the said City
William Pickett< no role > Esquire one other of the Aldermen of the said
City and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the
King Assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord the King
within the said City and also to hear and determine divers
felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed within
the said City

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Paul Covent Garden within the City and liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex have exhibited their Petition and appeal
unto this Court setting forth that by virtue of a Pass Warrant or order under
the hands and Seals of two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the
City [..] of London and liberties thereof (one
being of the Quorum) bearing date the twelfth day of December last
Samuel Mills< no role > was removed and conveyed fromtheand out of the
Parish of Saint Martin in Ironmonger Lane London to the Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden as the place of his last legal
Settlement and that the Petitioners conceiving themselves aggreived
thereby humbly appealed against the same Wherefore at the request
of the said Petitioners It is ordered that the benefit of the said Appeal
saved unto them and that the hearing and determination thereof be
and the same is hereby adjourned unto the next General Session of
the Peace to be holden for the said City at the Guildhall aforesaid
on Monday the Twenty fifth of February now next ensuing at the
hour of Eight in the Morning and that due Notice hereof be given to
the Churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of the said Parish of Saint Martin Ironmonger Lane.
