to be accepted on the 29th. of October 1787 by E. Everitt
That when said Ludlarn gave him said Bill of
Exchange he desired him to take his Money for
Said Organ and give him the difference amounting
to Three Pounds ten Shillings That neither
liking the appearance of said Ludlam nor the Bill
of Exchange he excused himself from eaching said
Bill by saying he had us Cash in the House That
said Ludlam took the Organ away with him (the
Stand excepted) and desired this Informant would
call on him at No. 9 in Surry Street in the Strand
on the Monday following with the difference of the
Bill and to turn a Harpsichord and Piano Forte
That on the Monday following he went to No. 9 aforesaid
but could hear nothing of said Ludlam That when
he gave him his address in Surry Street he
wrote his Name Ward That when said Ludlam
took the Organ away in a Hackney Coach with him
he told this Informant he would send him
directions how to forward the Stand by the Waggon
That from the enquiry [..] he has made and other
circumstances he suspects and verily believes
that the Acceptance of E. Everitt of the said Bill
of Exchange is false Forged and Counterfeited
and that the said Ludlam published the same
to this Informant in the City of London knowing
it to be so with intention to defraud this
