day of February Instant committed to the Gaol of Newgate for
Feloniously making forging and counterfeiting and uttering and publishing
as true a certain Instrument purporting to be the last Will and
Testament of James Gibson< no role >
late a Seaman on Board the private Ship
of War called the Vigilant with intent to Defraud Evelyn Pierre pont
Benjamin Wadington< no role >
and this Deponent Owners of the said Ship
And this Deponent further saith that previous to the said John Coogan< no role >
's
Commitment for the Crime aforesaid Probate of a Will and Testament
purporting to be the Will and Testament of the said James Gibson< no role >
had
been granted by the Prerogative Court of the Arch Bishop of Canterbury
to the said John Coogan< no role >
by the Name of James Coogan< no role >
as appears to
this Deponent by the probate of such Will and Testament And
this Deponent saith that having been advised that the said John
Coogan could not be properly tried for the said Crime until the
said probate had been called in and revoked by the said Prerogative
Court this Deponent hath on behalf of himself and the other
prosecutors employed Mr. James Townley< no role >
a proctor in Doctor's Commons
to Commence the necessary proceedings in the said Court for the
purpose of having the said probate called in and revoked with the
utmost Dispatch, And this Deponent saith that he hath been
