The Informations of Thomas Davies< no role > and Henry
Davies of Lambard Street in the said City Goldsmiths, and
William James Shaw< no role > , Servant to the said Thomas Davies< no role > and
Henry Davies< no role > taken before me, one of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said City, Who being upon Oath
severally say, and first the said Thomas Davies< no role > for himself, saith
that having Reason to suspect that the Prisoner now under Examination,
Charles Robertson< no role > , had at different Times robbed him and his Partner
on Saturday last, he weighed some Gold and Silver given to the
Prisoner to melt, and found a Deficiency Says upon that he
determined to search the Prisoner, and as he was coming down
Stairs to go to Dinner this Informant stopt him, and charg'd him
with the Robbery Says that the Prisoner denied the Charge
repeatedly Says that he was searched, and the several Pieces of
Gold and Silverwasnow produced were taken from him, which are
the Property of this Informant and his Partner.

And the said Henry Davies< no role > for himself saith that
he was present when his Brother charged the Prisoner with the Robbery
and upon hiss being searched, this Informant took Part of the Pieces of
Gold and Silver from the Crown of his Hat, and other Part from his
Breeches which are now produced, and are the Property of this
Informant and his said Brother

And the said William James Shaw< no role > for himself saith
that he was present when the Prisoner was searched, and saw the
several Pieces of Gold and Silver now produced taken from him.
