Who being upon oath say, and first the said James
Priest says that he is in Partnership with nathaniel Gardener< no role > now present
that they are Catlers at No. 382 in the Strand that William
Pearce now present hath worked for him and his Partner for
several Months partthat the five pieces of Ivory now produced
by Joseph Smith< no role > he is very sure are the property of himself and
Partner, and that they were stolen in their Shop on Tuesday
or Wednesday lastthe said James Woodland< no role > saith that he is
Journeyman to said James Priest< no role > and Partnerthat the two
pieces of the Ivory now produced are their property and that they
were Stolen on Monday and Tuesday lastthe said Henry Aistrop< no role > This name instance is in set 2618.
says that he is Servant to the said Joseph Smith< no role > at No. 10 Saint
Martins Lane Ivory Turnerthat the large piece of Ivory now
produced was brought to his said Masters Shop by the said
William Pearce< no role > on Tuesday last and Sold by him to this Informant
for fifteen pencethe said Joseph Smith< no role > says that the Four pieces
of Ivory were brought to his Shop yesterday by the said William
Pearce [..] who offered to fill them for fifteen pence
when he caused him to be secured
