The Information of Ann Wright< no role > , an
Apprentice to Elizabeth [..] Probin< no role > of Bishopsgate
Street London Mantua MakerWho being
on Oath, saith thatshe wason Saturday Night
last, about half past nine o' Clock, she was going
From the House of her Mistress with Your
Gowns, to Phils Buildigs Hounsditch , to
Miss RobinsonSays, that at the door of a
Publick House, the corner of Still Alley in
Hounsditch , a Person whom she this Examinant
did not then see, pushed her behind with great
Force against the Wall of Still Alley and
with his Hands laid held of the Bundle,
which contained Four cotton Gowns, and snatched
the same awaySays, that she immediately
called out Murder, and alarmed the Neighborhood
but knows not whether the Prisoner, Edward
Paile, now under Examination, is, or is not
the Person who in manner aforesaid, assaulted
and robbed herSays, that the Gowns now
produced, are the identical Four Gowns taken
From her this Examinant in the way before
particularly mentioned and worth Four Pounds.
