The Information and Examination
of James Noad< no role > taken on Oath the 23d
day of September 1785 before us two
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex

Who on his Oath saith that he is a Victualler
and keeps the White Brar alehouse at Thames
Street neat Puddle dock London and that on
Saturday the 3d. day of September Instant
about Nine O Clock at night a Coach Stopt
at this Examinants door And when the Coach
Stop't [..] one Vandiput and [..] Storer came in
at the front door and two other men Daniel
East and the Coachman named John Say< no role > came
in at the Back door, the two latter brought in
with them at the back door a Bale of Silk
and set it down at the Outside of the Bar
they them went into the back Parlour and
called for some thing to drink about a Quarter
of an hour afterwards while they were drinking
together, James [..] Beaman< no role > , who keeps the
Crown at Smithfield Barrs came in and joined
Company with the above man, soon after
[..] Beaman came in, Vaderput and Storer went
away in the Coach and returned in about half
an hour and brought with them, a mom named
Farmer [..] from Pettycoat Lane, and immediately
cut the Ropes Outside Package of the Bundle and put
the [..] Bundle into a Bag which they brought
with them, and all went away in a Coach [..] Except Former
and except) and they were going away Daniel last and
Vandeput desered this Examinant to burn the
out side Package and the Ropes, Farmer agreed
to give half a Guinea a Pound for the Silk that
some days afterwards [..] he saw Storer and East in
Bridewell and one Honchief Go [..] ought came
into the Bridewell and Whispered with Storer
and East Storer and East asked this Examinant
