Pound Weight of
reasons his Property

John Butler< no role > of the Unicorn Sivery Stables
Blackman Street in the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry.
the Prosecutor abovenamed maketh Oath and Saith That
having preferred a Bill of Indictment against the said Thomas
Cleaver which was returned a Tund Bill this Present Session
fortheStaling Six Pound of [..] raisins from Fresh Wharfs
Warehouse on Friday last he this Deponent hath [..]
[..] Constantly attended at the Sessions House in the old
Bailey to Prosecute and that this Deponent was last Night
about the Hour of Ten o Clock informed by one of the
Keepers of the Door to admit Evidence at the said Sessions
House in the old Bailey that the above named Prisoner
Thomas Cleaver< no role > Stood Seven off and that if he Came there
between the Hours of Eleven and Twelve o Clock this
Morning he would be time enough And this Deponent
further Saith that as a Watchman on Fresh Wharf
he this Deponent was Necessarily obliged to attend this
Morning till near Twelve o Clock to take Care of one Lighter
of Currants in bago belonging to Mr. Champion of Broken
Wharf and Two Lighters of Wine belonging to Mess Crank.
and Gisborne of Cannon Street which this Deponent had the
Entire Care of And which this Deponent in Case any
Accident had happened to any of such Property which was of a
Considerable Value he this Deponent must have been
Answerable to the above Proprietors And this Deponent
Possitively Saith that he was not able to procure any one
whom he Could place Confidence in till near Twelve oClock
when he sent for his Nephew for such Purpose and that
he this Deponent Immediately after his said Nephew Came
to take the Care as aforesaid he Came with all the Speed
Possible to the old Bailey to Prosecute the said Thomas Cleaves< no role >
about the Hour of [..] when this Deponent was Informed
the Prisoner had been [..] charged and his Recognizance Forfeited

at Justice hall in the Old Bailes
