[..] within the said Ward for the Public Good which said Persons
[..] aforesaid appointed & chosen were used & accustomed and ought to hold
[..] said office last mentioned for the Year then next ensuing and until
other Persons would be elected to the said office last mentioned and also
were used and accustomed and ought on Monday next after the Feast of
the Epiphany next after the said Election to take [..] their Corporal
Oath for the due Execution of their said Officer last mentioned at the Guildhall
of the said City of London in the Court then held before the Mayor & Aldermen
of the said City for the Time being for all the Time aforesaid and that the said
Deft on the said 21st. Day of December in the 25th. year aforesd. in the said Court
of Wardmote then holden for the Ward aforesaid within the said Ward
to wit at Leatherseller's Hall situate in the Parish of St. Helen in the
Ward of Bishopsgate aforesaid before the said Richard Clark< no role > Esqr . Mayor
of the said City in the Absence of the said James Townsend< no role > then & now
one of the Alderman of the said City and then & yet Alderman of the same
Ward was lawfully & in due manner by the Men inhabiting and resiant
Paying Scott and bearing Lott. within the said Ward according to the Custom of
the same Ward and Court aforesaid for and during the whole Time afsd.
used elected to the office of Constable for the Precinc't of Saint Martin
Outwick beings one of the Precincts of the said Ward for one whole Year
then next ensuing and until another Person shall be elected into the sd.
Office last mentioned for preserving the Peace of our said Sovereign Lord the
King for apprehending of Rogues Vagabonds and other suspicions persons within
the Ward aforesd. for the Public Good and that the said Deft afterwds
to wit on the said 21st. Day of December in the Year aforesaid at the sd.
Parish of Saint Martin Outwick in the Ward aforesaid had notice thereof
and then & there was duly required to appear among others in the said
Court then to be held on Monday next after the Feast of the Epiphany
then next following and now last past in the Guildhall of the said City
of London before the Mayor and Aldermen of the same City to take his
