Whereas by an Order of Removal Pass Warrant bearing date the
Twenty second day of February last under the Hands and Seals of two of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said City of London and
Liberties thereof one being of the Quorum Thomas Bye and Elizabeth< no role >
his Wife (as she is therein called) were removed to the said Parish of
Saint Mary at Hill from the said Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
whereupon the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Mary at Hill have given Notice of Appeal to try the
same at the next General Quarter Sessions of the Peace And
Whereas it appears that they the said Thomas Bye< no role > and Elizabeth
have never been lawfully and that her real name is
Elizabeth Butler< no role > a Singlewoman and thatneitherthe said
Thomas Bye< no role > was the said Elizabeth Butler< no role > hath nor any Settlement
in the said Parish of Saint Mary at Hill And Whereas the said
Elizabeth Butler< no role > since her Removal as aforesaid hath been
delivered of a Bastard Child in the Workhouse of the
said Parish of Saint Mary at Hill Now We whose Names are
hereunder written Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate do hereby promise and
undertake at the Costs of the said Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
to move to quash the said Order of Removal at the said next
General Quarter Sessions to be holden in and for the said City and
to take back the said Elizabeth Butler< no role > and her said Child And also
