The Information of John Rogers< no role > Junr . Clerk to Sir
William Lemon< no role > and Co. of Mansion House Street
London Bankers Robert Seales of the Bulls
Head in Newtoners Lane Saint Giles in the
Fields Labourer and John Grumley< no role > of the same
place Upholsterer taken before me this 15th.
day of Septemr. 1783.

Who being on Oath say and first the said John Rogers< no role > says that
the Acceptance of a Bills of Exchange now produced purporting
to be the Acceptance of Sir William Lemon< no role > & Co. is false forged
and counterfeited the same not being the Acceptance of the said
Sir Wm. Lemon< no role > & Co. nor of any Person on their Behalf
And the said Robert Seales says that this Informant and the
said John Grumley< no role > being at the Alehouse called "The Bank" on
Friday was Sevenight they saw a Person now present
who calls himself William Munro< no role > also there. That after
drinking with him they all three want to the Bulls Head
aforesaid and drank again. That Munro gave this Informant
an Half Guinea to get changed, which he did. That said
Munro then asked this Informant "If he could get a Ten
pound Note changed" this Informant replied Yes, if it
was Good. That said Munro then gave this Informant
the Bills of Exchange now produced purporting to be the Bills
of Exchange of Fox & Norris, on Sir Wm. Lemon< no role > Furley Labbock< no role >
& Co. Bankers London, for the payment of Ten Pounds to Mr. John
Jarvis
< no role > or Order One Month after date and dated Sheffield
Septemr. 1st. 1783 desiring this Informant would get Cash for
it. That this Informant told said Munro that he would
endeavour so to do, and would meet him the next Day.
and this Informant further says that upon his presenting
the said Bills of Exchange the next morning at Sir Wm. Lemon< no role >
& Co. the said Bill was stopped and this informant was told
