Whereas by virtue of Pass Warrant or order of Removal under
the hands & Seals of two of his Majesty< no role > 's Justice of the peace for the City
of London & Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum) bearing Date the twenty
Ninth day of January last Elizabeth< no role > the Widow of Richard Langford< no role > was Removed and
Conveyed from & out of the parish of Saint Martin Vintry London to the parish of Saint
Martin in the fields in the County of Middlesex as the place of her last Legal Settlement
Now upon hearing the Petition and Appeals of the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields (this day exhibited unto this Court) against
the Warrant & Judgement of the said two Justices in the presence a hearing of the Church
Wardens & overseers of the said parish of Saint Martin Vintry & having heard what
could be alledged on either side by the said parties their Council & Witnesses in and
concerning the premisses It is thereupon Ordered that the Warrant & Judgement
of the said two Justices be guased vacated & set a side & that the appeal aforesaid be
allowed & the same is hereby allowed accordingly & it is hereby further Ordered
that the said Elizabeth the Widow of the said Richard Langford< no role > be forthwith sent
back & Delivered into the Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Martin Vintry to be by them maintainedpoor of the said Parish
of Saint Martin Vintry to be by them maintained
& provided for until they can
five themselves from the Church thereof by due Course of Law And it is feather
Ordered tht the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of
Saint Martin Vintry do forthwith pay or cause to be paid unto the Church
Wardens & Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint Martin in the
Field the sum of Seven Shillings & six peace for & towards their Charges
and Expenses in & about the Relief & Maintenance of the said Elizabeth
Since her said Removal.
