saith that on Saturday the twenty third day of November
Instant as he was walking up Ludgate hill
, he
was
[..] mix'd with a large Crowd of people that
were ging along with Lord Rodney and the City Committer
when in prosecution, and that receiving a sudden Purk backwards
and suspecting it might be made for the purpose of
diverting his attention, he immediately looked down to his
Breeches Pocket, and saw the Band of

the Prisoner now under Examination close to his said
Pocket says that the said

instantly
with draw his Hand
an his fromand at the same Instant
this Informant felt a Violent Plack at his said Pocket
and in perfectly satisfied that the said

that took from him the Pinch
beck Watch now
produced, which is this Informant Property and of the
Value, as he believes, of Forty Shillings and upwards, and this Informant
Thomas Godfrey< no role >
for himself saith that being on Ludgate
Hill on the Day above mentioned in the Crowd some
person pushed against him and pulled his Leg on which
he looked down and saw the Pinch
beck Watch now

, that he immediately
picked it up and called out who has lost a Watch, that

Colear whom he declard had picked his Pocket of it
