The Information of Ann Lloyd< no role > , Joseph Watridge< no role > , Elizabeth
Hollister and Charles Jealous< no role > taken before me this 11th.
day of June 1782

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Ann Lloyd< no role > says, that a
person now present who calls herself Mary Thompson< no role > hath frequently bought
different Remnants of Articles in the said Joseph Watridge< no role > Shop
That about half past one o Clock this day the said Mary Thompson< no role >
cause into the said [..] Joseph Watridges< no role > Shop and asked for some
Ribbons to look atThat she then asked to look at some Lace edging
and this Informant observed her put some Edging from out of her Lap
into her PocketThat immediately afterwards another Box was
Reached down for her to look at, when she observed said Mary Thompson< no role >
take thereout another Quantity of EdgingThat she then acquainted
the said Joseph Watridge< no role > of the sameAnd the said Joseph
Watridge says that he followed the said Mary Thompson< no role > , (she
being at this time got out of the Shop) and frequently requested her
to come back again which she refused at first, but afterwards
returnedAnd the said Elizabeth Hollister< no role > says that at the Request
of the said Joseph Watridge< no role > she searched the said Mary Thompson< no role >
who at first, refused to be searched and said "she would not be
searched without a Constable"That she went up Stairs with
her and on her rising up, this Informant observed a piece of
Lace now produced under her on which she delivered it to the said
Ann Lloyd< no role > That she saw Mrs. Watridge take from under said
Mary Thompsons Stays another piece of Lace and that she this
Informant afterwards herself found another piece of Lace under
her StaysThat her said Mistress took from said Mary Thompson< no role >
pocket three pieces of Ribbon now produced, and she this Informt.
took seven more pieces of Ribbon now produced out of said Pocket
