to wit}

The Information of Robert Beck< no role > Apprentice of Thomas
Davis of Bishopsgate Street London Pawnbroker taken
and made on Oath before me one of his Majestys Jusices
of the peace for the County of Middlesex the 4th. day of
August 1781.

Who on his Oath saith that on the 8rd. day of August
Instant about four or five o'Clock there was feloniously
stolen from his Masters Shop Door in Bishopsgate Street
aforesaid (where it hung up) onelinenCatton Gown the property
of the said Thomas Davis< no role > of the value of ten Shillings.
That just before the same was stolen one Mary Jones< no role > came
into the said Shop and cheapened a Gown but not agreeing
for the same immediately went out again. That on her
going out of the Shop this Informant being informed by
his Fellow Apprentice that he thought a Gown had been
taken from the Door, this Informant went out into the
Street and followed the said Mary Jones< no role > and found concealed
in her Apron the said Cotton Gown Stolen from his
said Master Shop as aforesaid.
