and for the said County of Middlesex
the 28th. day
of August 1781

This Informant Jacob Upsdell< no role >
on his Oath saith that he is Clerk
to Thomas Scott< no role >
Esquire
, Brickmaker
That on Friday
the 24th. day of August instant Richard Baldwin< no role >
who
drives a Cart for the said Thomas Scott< no role >
was ordered
to carry a Thousand of grey Stock Bricks from the
Brickfields
of the said Thomas Scott< no role >
at Hoxton
in the
said County to Mr. Hagar a Master Builder at London
Wall, And further saith that he verily believes the
said Richard Baldwin< no role >
afterwards feloniously stole
about two hundred of the same Bricks. And this
Informant Edward Melton< no role >
saith that he lives in
Tabernacle Walk
in the said County of Middlesex
That
on the twenty fourth day of August instant he saw
the said Richard Baldwin< no role >
come with a Cart belonging
to the said Mr. Scott loaded with Bricks to a Passage which leads to the House
of one Samuel Burland< no role >
in Tabernacle Walk
aforesaid
that this Informant saw the said Richard Baldwin< no role >
deliver about two hundred of the said Bricks out of
the Cart to the said Samuel Burland< no role >
who Received the
same and placed them on the Ground near the Passage
,
That this Informant suspecting the said Richard
Baldwin had stolen the said Bricks and that the said
Samuel Burland< no role >
had bought them knowing them to
be stolen, he followed the said to Richard Baldwin< no role >
with
the said Cart who delivered the Remainder of the Brick,
at the said Mr. Hagars at London Wall
.
