if the Paperhadappeared on the Trial of the Prisoner
in its original State, his Life would be in danger

And the said William Kirby< no role > for
himself saith, that, he lent the Prisoner, two Pounds
eight Shillings, and on Sunday the First day of
April Instant, he called upon him and paid him one pound seven
ShillingsSays, that the Guinea and six pence now
produced is part of the Money the Prisoner paid him
that the prisoner told him, he was in place at a
Bookseller in Bond Street , and would pay him the
remainder in a Month or two, but desired he would
not call upon him.

And the said Joseph Perkins< no role > for
himself saith, that he saw the Letter now produced
delivered by the Post ManSays, he has seen
the Prisoner write Frequently, and is satisfied the
Direction " Mess Wright & Co. Milk Street Cheapside "
is the Prisoner's hand writing

And the said John Simpson< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. for
himself saith, that on Saturday the thirty First day
of March last, he told over about nine Shillings in
counterfeit Half pence, and put them in a desk in
the Front Warehouse of his Masters Joseph Wright< no role >
and James Neale< no role > Says, that he found this
Desk broke open the next Morning, and all the
half pence, except about four pence, were gone
Says, that he saw the Compting House Door, and
four Desks, one in the Warehouse and three in the
Compting House, broke openthe Files were laid
aside the Iron Chest, and part of the Books were
taken out of the Iron ChestSays, that he said
Mr. Neale open the Letter produced, and the Bill
of Exchange and Draft now produced were contained
in the said Letter Informant has seen the
Prisoner write and believes the Direction of the Letter
is of the hand Writing of the Prisoner.
