Middlesex to Wit


The Information of Henry Roger< no role > , William Purse< no role >
and Moses Murrant< no role > taken before me this 19th day
of December 1780

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Henry Rogers< no role >
for himself says that on or about the 30th day of January last he
came in a Post Chaise from Woodford Wells in the County of Essex
to Bishopgate without , when the Chaise broke downSays
that he had with him in the Chaise a Gold Watch, a gold Watch
Chain a Gold Seal and a gold Trinket now produced which having up against
one of the [..] sides within the said Chaise and that when he
Quitted it he left the said Watch Chain and Seal therein
The said William Purse< no role > for himself says that a person now
present who calls himself John Langhorne< no role > came to this Informants
Shop in the Strand on Saturday Night last and offered to pawn the said Gold Watch with
him for Ten Guineasforbest suspecting he came dishonestly
by it he stopped the said Watch and took the said Langhorne
into Custody And the said Moses Murrant< no role > for himself says that
on Sunday morning last he went with the said Langhorne to
the Stables at the One Swan in Bishopgate Street without in
order to search for the said Gold Chain and Seals (the said
Langhorne having< no role > lived as a Servant at the One Swan) That
between the Beams in the Hayloft near the Tiles in one of the
Stables at the One Swan aforesaid he saw the said Langhorne
pull out the said Chain Seal and Trinket now produced and that
he then it to this Informant
