Robert Hughes< no role > the abovenamed Defendant and
Mary Carr< no role > of Houndsditch in the City of London
Spinster severally Make Oath and Say first this
Deponent Robert Hughes< no role > for himself Saith That
on Thursday last this Deponent was Committed
to Newgate in Order to take his Tryall at this Present
Session and that ever since he has been so Committed
he hath Caused shirt Inquiry to be made after one
Richard Broad< no role > of the Red House Deptford in
the County of Kent Stone Mason who is a Material
Witness for this Deponent on his Tryall in this Cause
and without whose Testimony he Cannot safely pierced
to Tryall and Saith That he to Informed by the
other Deponent Mary Carr< no role > who made such Inquiry
That she was Informed that he was gone into the
Country and into not retiring untill the Callon End of the month whichthisInformation this Deponent
Verily believes to be true And Saith that he will
use his Utmost Endeavours to have the said
Richard Broad< no role > here at the next Session to
give Evidence on this Deponents behalf and does not
doubt he shall be able so do if this Honble Court
should think fit to postpone his Tryall tile then
And this Deponent Mary Carr< no role > for herself Saith
