the Justices Assigned to Deliver
the Goal of Newgate of them
Prisoners therein being at their
present General Session Assembled

The Humble Petition and Prayer of
Richard Wiltshire< no role > a Prisoner in the said
Goal

Sheweth


That by a Warrant of Commitment under the Hand
and Seal of Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight One of the Justice
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex bearing Date the
11th. Day of August last Your Petitioner Hands Comitted
to the Custody of the Keeper of the said Goal on his Deputy
and Charged upon the Oath of Robert Ryland< no role > & other
for Feloniously Willingly Acting and Assisting in the
false Making Forging & Corn forfeiting a Certain Cripping
Note for payment at Money purporting to be the Promisory Note of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England
for the Payment of twenty Pounds to Thomas Harris< no role > Esqr
or Bearer on Demand Dated the 5th. Day of May 1773.
with Intention to Deft and the Corporation of the
Governor and Company of the Bank of England agt.
the Statute Etc

That your Petitioner Conceive of his James
is Desirous of being Tryed as soon as Possible

Therefore Most Humbly Prays of your
Lordships that at this Present Session he may
be Tryed Bailed or Discharged

And as in Duty Bound he will for ever Pray
