At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the City of London at the Guild hall in them
the said City on Monday the tenth day of July in the
Fifteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the third King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Commissions of She Majesty's Presence of
Excuse have exhibitted there petition and appeal to this Court
setting forth that by a certain Reassessment or Rate made
for the present Year on the several Inhabitants and occupiors
of Houses Lands and Tenements within the Parish of Saint
Helen London for and towards the necessary relief of the poor
of the said Parish at the Rate of three pence in the pound in
pursuance of an Order of Vestry made at a Vestry hold for the
said Parish on the twenty third day of February 1775 and of
the several Acts of Parleament mentioned relating to the
poor the Excise Office is charged to the said Rate or assessment
the Sum of twenty five pounds and that the Petitioners
concerned themselves aggrieved by the said Rate on Reassessment
and therefore appealed against so much thereof as related
to that part of the Excise Office that wsituate within the
said Parish of Saint Holen Where fore at the request of
the said Petitioners It is Ordered that the benefit of the
said appeal be saved unto them and that the hearing
and determination thereof bound the same is hereby
adjourned unto the next General Quarter Session of the peace
to be holden for the said City at the Guildhall afore said
on Monday the sixteenth day of October next at Eight
of the Clock in the Morning and that due notice here of
be given unto the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the poor of the said Parish of Saint Helen London
