lington and Abraham Kirby< no role > for knowingly and designedly and unlawfully
obtaining by false pretences, in the city of London, a cask containing
2 gallons of rasberry-brandy the property of James Isherwood and Co.
with intent to cheat and defraud them thereof for want of sureties. Dated
Aug. 19, 1775 .

gust 28, 1775 , charged in the return thereto, on oath of William Butt-
ling

unknown, did on the 25th April last at a certain street or place near
Charing-Cross in the county of Middlesex , knowingly and designedly
under false pretences obtain of him half a guinea, a silver watch, a piece
of silk and an hand kerchief, with intent to cheat and defraud him, and
whereby he was defrauded of the same.

August 28, 1775 , charged in the return thereto, on the oaths of Tho-
mas Constable
