maketh Oath
and saith that on the thirtieth Day of December
last past
and also on the second fourth sixth and
ninth Days of January Instant

Deponent went to the new Corn Market
in Mark
Lane
within the City of London
in order to enquire
into the Price of middling British Oats And that
on all the abovementioned Days the common Market
Price of middling British Oats sold in the said
Market was seventeen Shillings and upwards
the Quarter And further saith that for several
Weeks last past the common Market Price of
middling British Oats sold in the said Market
hath been seventeen Shillings and upwards the
Quarter And this Deponent further saith that
he is seized of a Freehold Estate of the clear
Yearly Value of twenty Pounds and upwards ever
and above all Charges and Reprizes and that he
is skilful in the Prices of Oats and other Corn and
that he is a Housekeeper and lives in the County of
Surry And that the is not a Corn Chandler Mealman
Factor or a Merchant concerned in the Importation
of Corn or any Way interested in any Oats to be
Imported
