To the Right Honble. the Lord Mayor of the City
of London and the rest of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the sd. City now in their general
Quarter Session of the peace assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal
of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
George the Martyr in the County of
Middlesex

Sheweth


That Sarah Compton< no role > and Seven Years and
upwards Daughter of Henry Compton< no role > gone from her where
Settlement sd. not be found was by Order or Pass Warrant
Dated the 17th June last 1771 under the Hands and Seals of the
Right Honble. Brass Crosby< no role > Esqr Lord Mayor of the City of
London and Sir Richard Glyn< no role > Knight & Alderman of the
City Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said City
and the Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, removed
and conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint Giles without
Cripplegate London to the said Parish of Saint George the
Martyr in the County of Middlesex as the Place of her last
legal Settlement

Your Petrs. & Appllts. conceive themselves aggrieved
thereby humbly appeal to the Judgement of this
Honble . Court against the same, & pray that this
Honble Court will be pleased to hear and determine
the said Appeal And that all persons concerned
may abide the Judgment & Determination thereof
And that ye. Petrs. may be releived in the Premises
as this Honble Court shall seem meet

And Yor. Petrs. shall ever pray Etc
