before me this 6th. day of November 1771
Who being upon Oath says that she brought the Quantity six pair of White Silk
Stockings from France for her own Use that they were put into
a Truck which Truck when she arrived in England she caused
to be delivered to the Dover Stage Coachman in order to be brought
to London, says she is informed and verily believes that the said
Truck with its Contents were feloniously taken and carried away from
behind the said Coach owing as she believes to its not being properly
secured, says that she has since seen a pair of Silk Stockings
which from the Size Pattern & form she verily believes to be one
pair of the said Silk Stockings so stolen as aforesaid

The Information of William Mountain< no role >
taken before me this 6th. day of November 1771
Who being upon Oath says that a Trunk fastened behind the Dover
Stage Coach was feloniously taken and carried away last Wednesday
Evening that he has since been informed and verily believes the
said Trunk belongs to Mrs. Bindley, says he has examined the
fastenings of the said Truck and finds that the Rope with which
it was tied to the Coach was out
