St Faith under St. Pauls London Responds.

The Petition and Appeal sets forth


That by a pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of Samuel
Turner
< no role > Esqr . and Sir James Esdaile< no role > Knight two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
City of London and Liberties thereof Mary Binfield< no role > Wife of Thos. Binfield< no role > (who is therein alledged
to have deserted her) was removed from and out of the Parish of St. Faith under Saint Pauls
London into the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell as the place of her last legal Settlemt.
On which an Attendance is Ordered

The Appellants Case is shortly there Thos. Binfield in the Petition named
on the 12th. day of January 1750 Married Sarah< no role > his Wife which Sarah in truth &
in fact is still alive and she and her Children are maintained by the Parish of St. James
who think themselves sufficiently done by, and therefore are more inclined to Appeal then
maintain this City Dame & her of spring

To Prove the Copy of the Register of the Marriage of his
Wife Sarah< no role > from that ancient great inlet to happyness or
Misery called the Street please to call}
Mr. Thos. Babbington< no role >

To Prove to the Satisfaction of the Eyes & Ears of the
Inhabitants of the Parish of St. Faith under St. Paul that
the former Wife is still living which is more perhaps
than they knew as the time of the pass Warrt. or Order}
