Oath and say and first this Deponent Stephen Brown< no role >
for himself saith that he did on the twenty ninth day of
November last serve Elizabeth Liddall< no role >
Widow the
Prosecution in the above Cause with a true copy of the
Notice of Tryal here unto Annexed by leaving the same
at the House of one Mrs. Clarke opposite the Kings head
in Hog Lane
in the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields
where the said Elizabeth Liddall< no role >
had before Lodged as this
Deponent is Informed and believes And this department

for himself saith that he doth not know
where the said Prosecution now liveth or resideth And
that the last Place of the above the said Elizabeth
Liddall was at the said Mrs. Clarke's in Hog Lane
afd.
and at no other Place whatsoever to the Knowledge of this
Deponent notwithstanding this Deponent hath before made
frequent Inquiry's after her the said Elizabeth Liddall< no role >
And both these Deponents further severally say that at the
time the said Mrs. Clarke was served with the said Notice
of Tryal she the said Mrs. Clarke Informed these deponents
that she could not give them any Information nor did she
then know any place where the said Mrs. Liddall lived or
resided since she left her the said Mrs. Clarke And this Deponent

last Session seen the said Mrs. Clarke and Informed her that he
should appear at the Guildhall
of the City of London
in order to try
the said Indictment against him and that some litter time after
the last Session this Deponent again saw the said Mrs
Clarke who then Informed this Deponent that she had
seen the said Mrs. Liddall the above name Prosecution
and before the last Session began and then to Elder that
