Philip Usher< no role > Apprentice to the Prosecutor in this
Cause maketh Oath and Sayth that his said Master
hath for near a fortnight past been confined to his Room
with the Gout [..] of which Time he has not been
able to walk or even to dress or undress himself
or get into or out of his Bed without help And this
Deponent further sayth that his said Master continues
so ill of the said Gout that he cannot as yet Walk nor
even help himself without Assistance nor is he in any
manner able to attend at this Time to give his
Evidence in this Cause against the said Defendant
without the greatest risk and danger of catching of
Cold and running the Hazard of this Life as he this
Deponent in his Conscience veily believes.
