of Limestreet Square Merchant Maketh Oath
that this Deponent was bound to Prosecuite
Edward Collins< no role > for picking his Pocket and
was very willing so to do but his Master
Ordered him to go with some Goods to a
place upon the River Thames near Deptford
to Ship some Goods, on the Ship Triton Yesterday which he this
Deponent was obliged to Do the Ship being
a going to Said which detained him untill
twelve o Clock this day and thereby was
prevented from attending the Trail of the
said Collins and that he did not stay
away in order to get the Prisoner acquitted

in the Old Bailey the
seventh day of July 1768 }
