Lord Mayor of the City of London and the Rest of His
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said City in the
General Quarter Session of the Peace for the said City
Assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Stephen in Coleman Street London

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands
and Seals of two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
City of London and the Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum)
bearing Date the third Day of February 1766 Mary James< no role > This name instance is in set 906. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . Wife
of John James< no role > gone from her and whose Settlement cannot be found
(as is alledged by the said Order) was removed and conveyed from and
out of the Parish of Saint Ann and Agnes within Aldersgate London unto
the said Parish of Saint Stephen in Coleman Street as the Place of
her Last Legal Settlement together with her Bastard Child Mary < no role >
aged four Years for Nurture.

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves to be aggrieved
by the said Order or Pass Warrant humble appeal
to this Honble Court against the same and pray
Relief in the Premisses.
