That on the Twentieth day of March in the sixth
Year of his present Majesty's Reign
your Petitioner
was Convicted before
George Nelson< no role >
Esquire
then and
still Lord Mayor
of the City of London
and then and
Still one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the
City of London
for neglecting to place or put up in a
Conspicuous manner on or ever his form and in a large
fair and legible Character wrote or printed a true and
particular Account of the Quantity of Codfish which
he had for Sale in Billingsgate Market
on Tuesday
the 18th. Instant before he exposed the same for Sale
And is Adjudged to pay and forfeit the Sum of five pounds
Your Petitioners conceiving himself Aggrieved
thereby Doth humbly Appeal against the
said Conviction as being illegal and Prays
such Relief in the Premises as to your
Lordship and Worships shall seem meet.
